To Find Manchester UnitedTraining Grounds:
Manchester United Football Club,
Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 0RA, England.

Old Trafford & The Throstles Nest Pub.

How do I get to Old Trafford?
Bus -
Buses leave Chorlton Street in central Manchester direct to the ground. Other areas of Manchester also            have routes to Old Trafford.
Car - Leave the M63 at junction 7 and take the A56 towards Manchester.
Train - Special trains run from Oxford Road station in central Manchester direct to the ground.
Tram - The Metrolink line between Altrincham and Bury runs through central Manchester and there is a station                at Old Trafford.

Earlier - the main training ground was at The Cliff + Littleton Rd.

'A' Team - The Cliff, Lower Broughton Road, Lower Broughton, Salford.
'B' Team - Littleton Road, Lower Kersal, Salford.

Before moving the training facility to Carrington in year 2000 supporters had been allowed into The Cliff to watch the players train. The new training ground is unfortunatley not open to the public.

Can I watch United training?
Jan 2000 - the old Cliff training ground was changed to the "closed"
*Carrington Training Center* -
Directions Leave M60 at jnct 8, the Carrington spur.
Straight ahead at the lights at the end.
At the next set of lights, turn left and go all the way to the end.
There is a barrier across the road with one of those insert your pass things
so not possible to get any further. The roadway past the barrier is brand new.
There are no signs whatsoever and you cannot see the rooftops of any
buildings as the road climbs up a bit and then falls away.
It is therefore not posssible to see the team train as we did at the Cliff.

Gigg Lane, Bury.

OT to Manchester Airport by train
There are trains leaving Piccadilly every 15 mins or so to the airport. You should be able to reach a train at 1740 which should get you to the aiport by 1810 it's Ryanair. OT to Piccadilly is tricky: A bus outside Lou's chipper can take 15 minutes to get into town, but it's usually about 30 minutes after the final whistle before the bus moves cos traffic is held up while the crowds cross the road towards the metro station. Perhaps the metro is quicker but queue's can be horrendous. Both the bus and metro will only take you as far as St Peters Sq, which is a 10 minute walk from Piccadily Station. Perhaps if you walk towards town when you leave OT you might get a cab to Piccadilly. A cab to the airport from OT after a game can take about and hour and cost a fortune. *OT has its own little station platform with access via turnstiles under the South stand. There should normally be at least three or four trains which will stop at Oxford road before pulling into platform 13 at Piccadilly. They leave at 15 minute intervals and take about ten minutes or so to reach Piccadilly. **If you catch the train in to OT you'll probably need platform 14 at Piccadilly Info kindly posted by Richie Evans
