A Roy Keane Poem:
He's a fantastic footballer,
A human machine,
Reliable in battle,
His name is Roy Keane.
It's a pleasure to
watch
His magical skills
For when Roy Keane is playing
There are plenty of thrills
From Ireland he came,
his father a florist
His footballing skills
noticed by Nottingham Forest
There at the City
Ground
At the heart of the team
He was strong, he was solid
And loyal it would seem
But he wanted to leave,
Not for Newcastle or Leicester
But North to Lancashire
To the city of Manchester
When he signed for
the Reds
He was thoroughly delighted
After all, what could beat playing
For Manchester United
He was happy now,
he had fulfilled a dream
For now he was playing
in a world class team.
To the Old Trafford
crowd
He is a hero, a cult
When something goes wrong
It is never his fault
So if you're walking
the streets
On a cold Saturday,
Be sure not to miss
Sir Matt Busby Way
For at the end of
the road
you'll find a Theatre Of Dreams
Home of United
and the great Roy Keane
