Subject: NA Reds - Champions League Games on Close-Circuit TV

Don't know if this has hit the list yet as I'm still in way-behind digest mode, but the Canadian close circuit satellite company CSN has bought North American live TV rights for at least the rest of the group stage for the Reds, and will be showing the games starting on Wednesday with the Brondby game. As they've been out of the loop in recent years due to the equally incompetent Setanta taking over, their contact with US and Canadian bars is pretty ropey, so if you watch games at a bar you may want to have a word with the owner.

Details and contact info is at http://www.golden.net/~csn/

or you can e-mail them at csn@golden.net

Thought I'd pass on some news to US fans about tv and satellite coverage for the upcoming season.

It looks like Setanta Sports is back with us for live games on Saturdays and Sundays starting with the Charity Shield on August 9. According to their web site (www.setanta.com) and discussions at my local, Fox Sports World has sold live rights to Setants for this season for the weekends. The interesting news is that Fox Sports World and Fox Sports America are planning to show a Premier league game at noon on Saturday, indications are that this will be a different game than the live game. Both Fox channels will also carry a live game on Mondays. There are rumors about Sunday games being available other ways, but nothing reliable yet. The Setanta venues should be the same as last year, Setanta keeps a list on their web site, but I don't know if they've updated it yet.
